How it all began:
We’ve known each for over 10 years, grew up in the same town and met through a mutual love of Dawson’s Creek (we both ‘shipped Pacey & Joey!). A couple years ago we reconnected through Facebook and GChat. We were both feeling drained from our 9-5 lives and decided to started a project.
The terms? To be free to say what we wanted. We wanted to be thoughtful in our conclusions. We wanted to be nostalgic. We wanted to try to figure things out. But most importantly, we wanted to write. Often. And our one rule - anonymity. We created pseudonyms for ourselves (Funfetti & Red Velvet), which we felt would give us the freedom to express whatever we wanted.
In less than 24 hours, we bought a domain and Couple of Crumbs was born.
What we’re up to now:
At first it was just the two of us writing entry after entry, every week. We came up with ideas like Thursday3 (where we revealed facts about ourselves), changed it up with Life Unexpected reviews and added a monthly series. Unfortunately, life and work got in the way and it all became a little too much to handle so then we thought - guest bloggers! That’s when we realized what we really wanted our blog to be about..
“Couple of Crumbs” — an outlet for women of many flavors. (Gotta keep our cupcake theme somehow!)
We want COC to be space for us AND other female bloggers to say something. Anything. To speak their minds, whether it’s funny, serious or just creative.
